12 Habits of All Happy Women

Good days and bad days come and go—but it is essential to cultivate a balance and long-term happiness that comes from small things and activities. All happy women share the same habits, and the sooner you start to follow these tips, the happier you will feel.

#1. They Practice Self-Care

It is easy to fall into a spell of procrastination and put off an appointment with your dentist or beautician because you are too busy, but self-care is crucial to your well being. Taking care of your body means loving yourself as a person—it goes way beyond aesthetics. Self-care can be as simple as splurging on a new bag or sleeping in for an extra 15 minutes in the morning.

#2. They Have a Routine

Establishing a daily routine is key to finding balance in your life because it reminds you to create space for the things you love. If you do not have a routine yet, find a moment to write down the things that you would like to accomplish in a day and go from there. Try not to be too ambitious, but find the time to do activities that give you positive energy, like five minutes of meditation. Using your morning hours well will set you up for a whole day of success. Perfecting a morning routine that is positive, productive, and fulfilling is not an easy task. While everyone is different, it is important to create a morning routine that is in line with your priorities, strengths, and needs.

If you are looking to develop a morning routine, make more space for the things you love, and stop feeling so overwhelmed every morning. Check out Crystal’s course perfectly named Make Over Your Mornings. And it does just that. This is the course that helped me immensely to develop a morning routine, streamline my morning task, get organized, and helped me experience more clarity in my daily life. #3. They Are Open Minded

A happy woman is always open to life and to what it can offer. It is important to have values and principles, but it also crucial to stay open to change your mind and discover new things because openness and curiosity allow you to grow and evolve. Try to look at the world from a different perspective, or find a new hobby.

#4. They Keep Smiling

A simple smile can change the day of the person you meet. When you walk around, remember that everyone is fighting a battle, big or small—you cannot help everybody, but you can smile to show compassion and support. If you start the day smiling, the world will laugh back—positive energy attracts positive energy.

#5. They Are Kind

A random act of kindness can mean a lot for the person that receives it, and there are so many things you can do on a daily basis to show compassion to the people you love—and also strangers. You can call a friend that you haven’t spoken to in a long time; you can bake some cookies and give them to your neighbors—and you can volunteer at a homeless center.

#6. They Express Gratitude

We often think about what we do not have, instead of being thankful for the things we have and for the love we receive from the people who surround us. Gratitude has the power to reframe the difficult times and show us that we are lucky despite the challenges we face. It is a great habit to remember what you have before going to sleep, from simple things like a warm bed to the people who love you.

To help you better practice gratitude I recommend you check out The Gratitude Diaries: How a Year Looking on the Bright Side Can Transform Your Life or The Little Book of Gratitude: Create a life of happiness and wellbeing by giving thanks. These books helped me to see life in a different light; I found myself being more grateful and confident in my daily life.

#7. They Have A Regular Exercise Routine

Moving your body is essential for your physical health because it keeps you in shape and it strengthens your muscles—but it also necessary for your emotional health because it releases stress and brings back the focus to the present. After exercising, you will feel a rush of energy that will be beneficial to the rest of your daily activities.

Exercising does not always have to mean purchasing a membership at your local gym. Your exercise routine should include something you love to do, and you look forward to. Not many people like going to the gym to work out due to the overcrowding and the competitive environment, and if you are on a budget, it can be hard to shell out the money every month. So it is essential to find the one exercise that you absolutely love to keep you motivated. For me that one exercise is yoga, yoga has so many benefits including lowering blood pressure, increase flexibility, weight reduction, and relaxing the mind.

#8. They Have Passion

When we get tired and busy, it is easy to forget the motivation behind our actions. In those moments, it is essential to remember why we chose our life path and what our goals are. If you do not like your job, and you feel stuck, never forget your true passions and find time for them. Hard work is not enough to succeed in life—passion is a crucial element to reach your goals.

Discovering your passion does not always come easy, it is very common to be well into adulthood and not know what you are passionate about. I recommend reading  Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance by Angela Duckworth. I have read this book two times, and each time I finish it I am inspired all over again. In this book, you will discover the power of passion and perseverance and how it trumps talent every single time.  This is the book that helped me to not only find my passion but to discover how important it is to possess it, to lead a happy and fulfilling life.

#9. They Spend Time Alone

A happy woman understands that she needs time alone to get to know herself and her true desires. It is crucial to spend time with yourself especially when you have to make important decisions—and also after a breakup, to be able to look at things from a distance and decide what you want and what you do not want in future relationships. Two of my favorite things to do alone is to listen to audiobooks and meditate.

I love listening to self-help books on Audible when I have some time alone to focus on me. Audible has the world’s largest selection of audiobooks, with over 425,000 audiobooks available you are sure to find a perfect listen for you. You can try audible for free for 30 days, and if you click HERE, you will get two FREE audiobooks on us. This is the product that helped me to make more time for reading in my daily alone time.

#10. They Are Positive

Life is complicated, and it is hard sometimes to stay positive during challenging times. The best weapons against negative thoughts are gratitude, exercise, and focusing on the present. The first activity reminds you of the good things you have, the second release accumulated stress, and the third one is a state of mind that you learn to cultivate through meditation.

Meditating has tremendous benefits including reducing stress, improving sleep, increasing focus, and improving relationships. Meditation truly changed my life for the better; I have meditation to credit for my new found happiness and inner peace. Meditation can be overwhelming and frustrating when you are a beginner. If you are a beginner hoping to learn more about meditating and how to start, I would highly recommend checking out the Master Your Mind Beginner’s Course. This is the product that helped me to start meditating regularly and doing it the proper way to ensure maximum benefits. The Master, Your Mind Beginner’s Course, helps to break meditation down into much simpler steps, through an in-depth 5-week step by step program that includes 35 short daily lessons, organized by week. With clear and easy to follow instructions. Click HERE to learn more about the Course that changed my life.

#11. They Have Accountability

A happy woman feels responsible for her actions and never blames others for her own mistakes. The key here is taking steps based on what you want, and not based on other people’s opinions. If you take complete charge of your actions, you are more likely to feel responsible for them and learn from your mistakes.

#12. They Accept Their Flaws

Perfection does not exist, and pursuing it means wasting your energy. Happiness is also about accepting your flaws, physical and behavioral. This does not mean that you do not want to work to change parts of your personality and grow. It simply means that you can accept what you cannot change and highlight your strengths. It is not always easy to accept yourself flaws and all. You are not alone, and it is okay if you find yourself struggling with this concept. I recommend reading You Are A Bad Ass by Jen Sincero and Body Outlaws by Ophira Edut and Rebecca Walker. These books tremendously helped me with my self-confidence and the positive way I now see myself in the world today.

I think being able to spend time alone is so important, I know for me at least, I have loved being alone since I was young. I have been told by many women that they struggle to spend time by themselves. I think learning to be content by yourself is an important part of self love.

For me, it’s about not comparing myself to someone else. I’m not trying to impress anyone, but it’s very nice if someone pays a compliment, and it doesn’t have to be from the opposite sex

This is such a straight forward reminder of what it means to be a woman! We all get so caught up in taking care of everyone one else that these habits are lost along the way. I will be sure to incorporate these habits more often!

    All the best,

This article excites me in so many different ways. First off I feel grateful that I already practice each and everyone of these topics and then some. But just because I’m already practicing them doesn’t mean I’ve mastered them all. There is always room for growth and I love knowing that I’m still only in the begining stages!! I’ve begun to grow so much as a individual and it must be working because People tell me about the “good vibes” they receive from me when I’m not even aware I’m putting them out there.
I hope all of you ladies have a life full of gratitude and remember, be yourself!♡
