1. Keep A Calendar
Although a simple tip, it is very effective. Keeping a wall calendar updated with important deadlines and events can make organizing your priorities much easier. 2. Keep A Daily To-do List
Monthly calendars help keep essential dates organized, but daily to-do lists help you get everything accomplished. When you have a lot on your plate, trying to decide where to start can be incredibly overwhelming, and trying to focus on one thing can be nearly impossible. Instead of trying to focus on everything at once, sit down and write a to-do list for the day in order of importance. Don’t try to think about deadlines weeks in the future, focus only on what needs to get done that day. If there are some easy tasks, finish those first and check those boxes! Being able to see your progress helps give you more motivation, and then you can focus on the more daunting tasks of the day.
3. Stop Procrastinating
It can be easy to keep putting off difficult tasks, but it only adds to your stress in the end. Did you just get a bill in the mail? Pay it today. Do you have a significant project due in a week? Start working on it now. The quicker you finish tasks, the less you’ll have to worry.
4. Take Time to Relax
When you have a lot to get accomplished, the last thing you feel like you can do is sit down and relax. However, taking a half hour out of your day to just sit and do nothing can do wonders for your productivity. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, sit down with a relaxing cup of tea or burn your favorite candle. By clearing your mind, you’ll be better prepared to take on whatever the day has in store.
By following each of these simple tricks, you’ll get your life back on track in no time! If doing all of these at once seems like too much, start with one or two and see how much it improves your daily productivity. You’ll be surprised how much you’re capable of!

5. Streamline Your Payments
Do you still receive bills by mail? See if you can obtain them electronically instead. Do you have to pay each bill individually every month? Set up automatic payments instead. By sticking to your budget, you’ll always have enough money in the bank to pay your bills automatically without needing to worry.
6. Start Paying Off Debts
Do you have credit card debt? What about loan repayments? While it may be easy to pay the minimum on your debts each month and try to forget about them, that will only increase the amount of money you spend in the end. Paying more than the minimum will reduce your interest if you can’t pay it all off. It will help you pay debts off quicker as well. If you have more than one source of debt, try paying off the one with the lowest balance or the highest interest rate first.

7. Keep Your Home Office Clutter-Free
While many things are electronic these days, you may still get a few bills in the mail or need to save receipts for tax season. Keeping everything in organized folders will help save time and stress when you need to re-access these files. Are you hoarding old bills from previous years? If they’re not relevant anymore, put them through a paper shredder and clear out that space for new ones.
8. Organize Your Passwords
With everything being electronic these days, you probably have dozens of different passwords for dozens of different accounts. Create a secure, password protected document on your computer that contains all vital login information. By keeping this list, you only need to remember the password to the document – everything else is stored inside!
9. Don’t Forget to Communicate
Do you have a roommate or partner who you share bills? If you’re sharing expenses, it’s essential to communicate about finances so that everyone is on the same page. Once you agree on who covers each cost (as well as how much of each payment), everything will run smoother.
10. Track Your Budget
It’s no fun to reach the end of the month only to realize that you’ve bought one too many lattes and can’t pay your bills on time. By keeping track of all of your expenses, you won’t be short on cash when bills are due. At the beginning of each month, write down your monthly income as well as the amount of all bills (including due dates)! Once the bills are taken out, put some extra cash away in a savings account. Whatever is left is your allowance for the month. If you don’t go over this allowance, you’ll never be late paying bills again.
