Article By: Liesl Hall

Everyone could use a little extra change. Are you looking for some spending money while you are building your side hustle or working to build your savings account? Here is a list of 20 different, creative ways to make a little cash.

1. Start A Blog That Makes Money

Blogging has become one of my favorite ways to make extra money today! If you want to work from the comfort of your own home and make money online, I would highly recommend that you start a profitable blog here.

If you would have told me over a year ago that I could make money blogging, I would have looked at you like you were crazy. I had no idea that blogs could make money! I don’t even think I knew what “blogging” was. When I first started my blog, I was making $0 and made so many mistakes due to me having no clue what I was doing, I was extremely discouraged and frustrated.

After a few months of making mistakes and constantly learning new things, within a year I begin to see an exceptional amount of growth. I went from earning my first $100 to my first $1,000. Now, I am making over $5,000 per month in passive income. Some days I still can’t believe my eyes when I see money rolling into my bank account.

Blogging is not only lucrative, but it can be a fun way to share what you know all while connecting with other people. Blogging is how I make a living and starting this blog was one of the best investments I’ve made this year!

You too can start a blog for extremely cheap with our easy step by step tutorial here. You can start a money-making blog for as low as $3.95 a month. Plus you get a free domain if you sign-up through my link for a limited time.

  • Drones

  • DIY Equipment
  • Video Games
  • and much more!

What better way to show them your local traditions than by sharing your space for a reasonable price? If you live in a touristy area, you can become an Airbnb host and earn $100 per day

You can participate in an in person or online focus groups to earn some extra cash on the side. An online focus group is done online via chat, on your smartphone or tablet. Once you sign up with your preferred online focus group company you will normally receive a link to access the focus group and from there you’ll be able to join the discussion and give your feedback.

Respondent is my favorite option for in-person and online focus group studies, I earned over $200 this month just from participating in their studies online. Their payout is very good, you can earn up to $250 per research. They accept respondents from all over, this means you do not have to live in the US to be eligible.

The process to sign up is extremely simple, all you need is a Paypal account to receive your payment and an email account. Once you create your account you will be able to browse all the open studies. If you think a study will be a good fit for you, you can apply to participate.

Heres what will happen next:

  1. The researcher of the study will review your responses and send you an invitation.
  2. If you receive an invitation to participate, you get to choose a time that suits you from those made available by the researcher.
  3. After you have completed the study, you are paid via PayPal.

Respondents are paid the cash incentive amount advertised by the researcher. Click HERE to sign up for an account with Respondent and start earning today!

9. Take Surveys

Yup! It’s that simple. There are companies out there who are willing to pay you to give your opinion as an average consumer.

There are a lot of survey sites out there that are not worth your time, but I have two favorites that I always recommend to my friends and family that are 100% legitimate and that I personally use myself. They are both FREE to join and you can start making extra money immediately after signing up!

Join Swagbucks here for FREE: Get a FREE $5 bonus when you sign up here.

Swagbucks is one of the most popular survey sites to date and has paid out their members over 2 million dollars to date. This is the app that allows me to redeem FREE coffee from Starbucks and earn cash rewards.

Aside from taking surveys, you can also make extra money by watching videos, shopping online, and surfing the web and playing games.

A couple other free online survey companies that we highly recommend you use are below. They are all legitimate and can be an awesome way to earn some extra money. 17. Create a Podcast

Everyone has a favorite podcast, so why don’t you create one? You can either sell your audio files for downloading, or you can make some money using sponsorships. Some business will pay obscene amounts of money to have you advertise for them, especially if you’ve got a popular podcast.

18. Complete A Task

A great way to make money on the side is to complete a task for someone who may need help. TaskRabbit connects you with people who need help with a specific task like making deliveries, building Ikea furniture, cleaning houses,  or hanging up a picture.  According to The Penny Hoarder, some people make up to $2,000 a week on TaskRabbit.

TaskRabbit lets clients post the work they need help with, and you as a “Tasker,” can use the site to find jobs, contact potential clients and collect payment for your work. This is the website that helped me to make an EXTRA income of $500 dollars on the side just by completing a couple of tasks a month. Click HERE to sign up with TaskRabbit and start earning some extra cash.

19. Donate Plasma

Donating plasma is a simple way to earn cash all while potentially saving someone’s life, and you can get paid anywhere from $30-$75 per donation.

20. Sell Your Unwanted Stuff

One way to get extra cash is to go through your closet. Those shoes from 2005 that you never wore (and aren’t planning on wearing anytime soon)? Sell them on Craigslist! What about that shirt that you wore on New Year’s Eve seven years ago? Yup. Sell that too. If you get good at Craigslist, you can start buying super cheap stuff that is still in great condition and resell it. There are lots of people who are moving (and whatnot), just trying to get rid of things as soon as possible and will sell them for dirt cheap. If you’ve got an eye for finding these steals, you can resell them for a decent price and make some cash.

These are great ideas for making some money on the side. The key is choosing one or two side hustles that you know you will excel with. Quite a few of these ideas can be combined to really boost your income. For example, if you’re a writer, create a blog/website where clients can find you. You might also consider doing podcasts and videos to help promote your services. That’s just smart marketing. Be creative and you will find the income you’re looking for.
